TD: Pressure 01

Whoa. You obviously spent a lot of time and effort on this. A lot of the doujinshi I see are passable in the way they draw their characters; meaning, yeah, you could see that as being Deidara and Tobi, thanks to a few signature and easily recognizable character traits, like the ponytail and mask respectively. But holy shiitake, you really outdid yourself with this one. Yeah, that's obviously Deidara. And of course that's Tobi. When I saw this I had the brief urge to sqee like a fangirl and thank God I found a doujinshi that someone attacked with this much talent.

Actually, you kind of got my hopes up. Your title says it's page one, and I'm like 'Rejoice, for that surely means there lies a page two!' but there isn't. I clicked on it, I admired it, I looked for page two, and then I stared at my screen dumfounded for a while, thinking it was lying to me. I have no idea how to work emoticons, so just imagine one at the end of this sentence looking unimpressed ___.

I really hope you continue this. Not only do you appear to have a handle on the characters personalities, but I've never seen a doujinshi approached from this angle before - you know, so early in their meeting. Deidara doesn't even have arms! It doesn't have to be a gazillion pages long or anything, but it seems like a good beginning, don't you think?

Your shading is fine. Stop finding things wrong with your work.

P.S. I ALMOST rated your technique half a star for your shading just to mess with you, but I figured you'd take it seriously instead of sarcastically.
